Smoke seen in downtown Cleveland from air conditioning fire at casino building

CLEVELAND-- Fire crews responded to a fire at the Tower City complex in downtown Cleveland on Thursday.

An air conditioning unit on 14th floor caught fire, dispatchers told FOX 8 News. It happened in the Higbee Building, which houses the JACK Cleveland Casino.

A Rock Ventures spokeswoman said the fire was contained and extinguished within minutes.

There were no evacuations or injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing smoke along the city skyline.
