A lot of bargain shoppers search every corner of the Internet for a deal. But new research suggests that they may be wasting their time.

MIT researchers say retailers sell their goods for the same price online and at stores about 75 percent of the time.

The study authors say clothing prices are the same more than 90 percent of the time, and electronics have the same price about 85 percent of the time.
