CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The City of Cleveland is celebrating Black History Month by honoring hometown heroes.

Wednesday afternoon, the city honored those who have not only become fixtures of the community but have also given back.

The ceremony was the kick-off for a month-long celebration of Black History Month in the city.

The keynote speaker was FOX 8 News anchor Wayne Dawson.
