CLEVELAND– Monday was the last day of the Browns’ 10 Days of Giving and Cleveland wide receiver Andrew Hawkins made a lot of Christmas dreams come true.

Hawkins purchased gifts for 300 students and teachers from Cleveland College Preparatory School. He was joined by offensive lineman Joe Thomas, quarterback Josh McCown and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams for the event at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Hawkins led the kids in a countdown, then it was time for the Hawkins Christmas Takeover big reveal. Thomas posted a video of the overjoyed children.

The students thought they were going to the stadium for a field trip and lunch. But were excited to find out they could select a gift to keep or share with their family.

This is the third year Hawkins has provided extra holiday cheer for Cleveland-area children. Last year, he hosted an event to benefit 150 kids. In 2014, Hawkins and former Browns wide receiver Miles Austin made personal donations to the Walton Investment School for a new computer lab.
