Cleveland paramedics treat several with exposure; One man found dead

CLEVELAND– Cleveland EMS units are responding to calls of people suffering in the intense cold and Thursday morning one man was found dead outside, the FOX 8 I-Team learned.

It happened in the city’s Central section. A neighbor told FOX 8 the man was found dead on the porch of the home with a key in his hand.

A summary of cold weather runs for Cleveland EMS lists the call as “cold exposure.”

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner office said it will not likely have more information until Friday.

Meantime, Cleveland ambulance crews have also responded to several other cold exposure calls and those patients are listed as “stable”.

Throughout northeast Ohio, Thursday morning temperatures were frigid with wind chills below zero.
