Man charged with obstruction in case of missing Lakewood woman pleads not guilty

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A North Olmsted man, who has been charged with obstruction of justice in the missing person investigation of Roaa S. Al-Dhannoon, 24, of Lakewood, pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

Lakewood police say Ammar Sami is alleged to have provided false information to investigators from the Lakewood Police Department and the FBI, who are looking into her disappearance.

He was issued $250,000  bond and was ordered to surrender his passport.

A Lakewood detective tells FOX 8 the man was indicted after he told police that the night Roaa disappeared he was shopping by himself. It was later learned he was shopping with the missing woman’s husband.

The 24-year-old mother was last seen in October.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Lakewood police or the FBI.
