CLEVELAND – Some reports published Wednesday seemed to indicate that the Cleveland Indians were getting rid of mascot Chief Wahoo on their caps.

But they are not. That comes to Fox 8 news from the Indians themselves.

The team will not be using the alternate cream jerseys anymore. That’s where the confusion began. It was reported that Wahoo would also be leaving the caps.

But this is what the Indians told Fox 8:

*Wahoo on all jersey sleeves
*Wahoo caps to be worn with home white and road navy jerseys
*Red Block C cap to be worn with navy jersey (home only)
