Police use dog to search for driver who ran off after crash injures tow truck driver

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio -- Police from Highland Hills and several nearby communities are searching for the driver that ran off after a crash injured a tow truck driver.

The crash happened on Harvard Avenue near Millcreek Boulevard around 2:23 a.m. Thursday.

A tow truck driver was in the process of hooking up a disabled SUV when a car struck the SUV from behind, police told Fox 8.

Police are using a dog to search for the driver of the car.

The tow truck driver was transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries. The driver's name and condition were not immediately available.

Harvard Avenue was closed between Millcreek Boulevard and Mill Pond Drive for several hours. The road reopened around 5 a.m.
