Teen arrested in murder of 16-year-old Cleveland boy found in vacant house

CLEVELAND-- Detectives now have a suspect in custody in the murder of 16-year-old Alexander Mullins.

The teen was last seen going to Washington Park High School on Nov. 9. Officers discovered his body in an abandoned house on East 54th Street near Fleet Avenue on Nov. 20. Police said Mullins suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said homicide detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy on Wednesday. Details of the arrest are not available, Ciaccia said.

"He was really great kid. He had such a huge heart," Alicia Wilde, Mullins' aunt, said at a vigil last month.
