SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH - An Akron family is continuing to hold out hope, that one year after their loved one’s murder, his killer will finally be caught.

On this very somber anniversary, family and loved ones of 21-year-old Zakareia  Husein gathered in Springfield Township to lite candles,  join in prayer and remember a young man taken much too soon.

Zakareia was behind the counter of his families Akron pizza shop, Premium New York Style Pizza, when an armed man entered the store, wearing all black, and pointing a gun at Zakareia.

Surveillance video shows he did what he was told to do, but still the robber shot and killed him and then ran off. To this day, no one has been arrested for this horrific crime.

There is a 50-thousand-dollar reward for information that can help identify the person responsible for the murder. After many months analyzing the surveillance video, investigators say they believe the suspect is a male, and about 5 foot 9. If you have any information about this murder, give police a call.
