GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio-- Around 40 people gathered for a vigil outside the Skills Barbershop in Garfield Heights Friday night.
Family and friends lit candles in honor of 29-year-old Charles Davis.
"My family has gone through the holidays without my son," cried Angela Davis, mother.
This father of four was shot and killed inside the barbershop Tuesday night.
"Don't no mother deserve to bury their son like this. They emptied a whole clip on my son. They left him by himself in his blood," Angela Davis said.
Police said the man who shot him was in the barbershop at the time with a little boy who was between 5 and 6 years old. The child was getting his hair cut.
"I just want the person who took him from us to do what's right. Not only did he ruin our lives, he ruined that child's life also," said Alisa Edmonds, cousin.
Police said the shooter must have recognized him from a past incident and started shooting at him. The suspect then grabbed the boy and fled the barbershop.
Police said they believe the child will say something to someone due to the traumatic nature of what happened.
Anyone with any information is asked to give police a call.
