Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade held

NEW YORK — They lined the streets of Manhattan today for the 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Taking part in the parade were about a dozen marching bands, some 1,000 clowns and giant balloons, including Charlie Brown, Hello Kitty and SpongeBob SquarePants.

They made their way through city streets and finished up at Macy’s flagship store.

Some of the celebrities joining in today were Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan and Olympic gold medalists Laurie Hernandez, Claressa Shields and Michelle Carter.
