EAST LANSING, Michigan — The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Michigan State Spartans 17-16 Saturday afternoon.
Second-ranked Ohio State routed Maryland last weekend as J.T. Barrett accounted for four touchdowns, Curtis Samuel scored three TDs and the Buckeyes enjoyed another lopsided victory, 62-3.
Last season, Ohio State seemed destined for a repeat trip to the College Football Playoff, before Michigan State stunned the Buckeyes in Columbus. The Spartans, despite a difficult season, are hoping for another upset victory today in East Lansing.
The big, Big Ten battle between Ohio State and Michigan will take place next Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.
