CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland police are investigating multiple carjackings on the city's west side.

"I had just locked the house back up and I was sitting in my car, getting ready to go to my second job and a masked gunman opened my front door," said Marcia Alexander of Cleveland.

The mother of 5 says, at about 10:30 Thursday night, a suspect got away in her white Kia Sorrento, with her kid's car seats inside.

"Everything is gone, our whole life, down to my kid's social security cards. I don't know if they are going to steal our identities," said Alexander.

Police say she was one of 9 carjacking victims on the city's west side Thursday night.

These are surveillance pictures of two armed gunmen robbing a black Cadillac at West 98th and Madison just an hour after Alexander's attack, just blocks away.

Similar incidents were reported in Tremont around 7 and 10 Thursday night at Literary Road and Professor.

At least 18 carjackings have been reported on the city's west side in less than a month.
