MENTOR, Ohio -- A standoff in Mentor has ended peacefully.

The U.S. Marshals Service said it was trying to take a 32-year-old man into custody on Connie Drive, but he refused to come out.

A 5-month-old baby was inside the home at the time.

The man, who was wanted for a theft and aggravated menacing warrant out of Eastlake, made threats that he was going to harm himself and shoot police, according to Mentor police. The Mentor SWAT Team, the Lake County SWAT Team, and the Mentor Hostage Negotiation Team, all assisted.

The warrant was served at around 1 p.m., Thursday; the man finally came out of the home at around 7:30 p.m. He's now facing even more charges.

The baby was not harmed and is being cared for by another relative.
