Two Cleveland airport workers fired for taking money from passenger’s purse
CLEVELAND- Two veteran employees were fired after they confessed to taking money from a passenger’s purse, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Director Fred Szabo told Fox 8
Szabo said the incident happened last week. He said a woman left her purse near a restaurant and went to her car. When she discovered her purse was missing, she returned to the airport, but was unable to find it.
Airport officials were able to review video and saw the two employees going through the purse. The employees later admitted to taking money out of the purse.
“It was more than $100,” Szabo said. “The employees, one male and one female, were immediately fired.”
Police are investigating and it’s possible criminal charges could be filed, Szabo said.
