LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio -- Former attorney Michael Fine was sentenced to 12 years in prison and must register as a tier 2 sexual offender Monday.

Fine was arrested after being accused of hypnotizing women and then sexually assaulting them during their meetings.

He was arrested last year after a female client told investigators he hypnotized her during a custody dispute meeting.

Police said it was initially hard to believe a respected attorney was using hypnosis on women to gratify himself.

But one woman eventually wore a hidden camera and microphone to their meetings and captured him trying to hypnotize her. A second woman then came forward with similar accusations.
