LeBron James set scoring record in Cavs’ win over Wizards

WASHINGTON– The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Washington Wizards Friday night 105-94.

LeBron James had a strong start with 11 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in the first quarter, but the Cavs trailed. By the end of the half, Cleveland was up by 2.

At halftime, James had 16 points while Kyrie Irving added 13

Irving continued to have a big game with 29 total points. J.R. Smith put up 5 three-pointers.

James become the youngest NBA player to reach 27,000. The record was previously held by Kobe Bryant. Irving passed Campy Russell for ninth on the Cavs all-time scoring list.

The Cavaliers have one loss so far this season and that’s to the Atlanta Hawks.
