CLEVELAND – What goes well with Thanksgiving dinner?

How about a stroll around the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and RainForest?

The Zoo is offering free admission to everyone on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. It’s the Zoo’s way of saying thank you to everyone for a great year….and not a bad way to walk off all those pumpkin pie calories (or to exercise BEFORE you eat them, depending on your plans).

A bonus: the animals at the zoo will all be feasting on Thanksgiving day treats throughout the day. Here’s the feeding schedule:
10:00 a.m. Lions – African Savanna
10:30 a.m. Orangutans – The RainForest
11:00 a.m. Tigers – Northern Trek
11:30 a.m. Swamp Monkeys – Primate, Cat and Aquatics Building
12:00 p.m. Fossa – Primate, Cat and Aquatics Building
12:30 p.m. South American Fish – Primate, Cat and Aquatics Building
1:30 p.m. Francois’ Langurs – The RainForest
2:30 p.m. Elephants – African Elephant Crossing
3:30 p.m. Grizzly Bears –Northern Trek

No need to worry if it’s chilly out on Thanksgiving either: the Zoo is going to have free heated transportation that day….and all winter long as well.
