CLEVELAND –  As our Cleveland Indians take the field to play in the all-important, winner-take-all Game 7, tonight, one of the Tribe’s most-beloved players will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

Jim Thome, who played with the team from 1991-2002 and again in 2011, will be taking the pitching mound to throw out the first pitch. Thome is known for his spectacular home runs – he hit 612 in his 22-year baseball career. He was on both the 1995 and the 1997 World Series teams.

As for tonight’s anthem? The Tribe is leaning on the crowd to take them home!  The Cleveland Orchestra’s string section will help out.
