Final: Browns 28, Jets 31

CLEVELAND, Ohio —  The Cleveland Browns were leading the New York Jets 20-7 at halftime on Sunday afternoon at First Energy Stadium in Cleveland.

Browns quarterback Josh McCown got the start against the Jets on Sunday, then found Andrew Hawkins for a 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give Cleveland a 7-0 lead.

Later, the team extended their lead off of a 41-yard field goal from Cody Parkey, to 10-0, before the Jets answered back with a touchdown in the second quarter, shortening the Browns’ lead to 10-7.

Isaiah Crowell’s touchdown lengthened the Browns lead to 17-7 in the second quarter, before Cody Parkey hit another field goal from 27 yards, to make it 20-7.

Veteran signal-caller McCown, had been sidelined since Sept. 18 with a broken left collarbone.

The QB move comes after quarterback Cody Kessler was taken out of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a concussion.

The winless Browns have used six quarterbacks in their first seven games.

Last Sunday, they fell to the Bengals, 17-31.
