Another Parma City School Board president has resigned

PARMA, Ohio--  Parma City School Board president Lynn Halloran resigned Thursday evening. No reason was given.

This is the second Parma City School Board president to resign in just a matter of weeks.

Earlier this month, Kathleen Petro resigned during a packed meeting concerning the proposed budget plan.

The idea was met with a lot of outcry.

Thursday night, the school board passed a new plan that will allow those schools to remain separate.  The state gave the Parma City School District until November 1 to come up with a fiscal recovery plan to deal with its $15-million debt.

The state placed the district in fiscal caution back in August.
