Cleveland Indians fans see high fees when buying watch party tickets

CLEVELAND– Tribe fans buying tickets to the World Series watch parties experienced issues Monday afternoon.

Tickets to the parties at Progressive Field in Cleveland went on sale at noon for $5 each. Minutes later, the Cleveland Indians posted the organization was working to fix an issue charging customers high fees.

One fan told FOX 8 News she bought four tickets and her total ended up being $240.40.

The problem was corrected in a few minutes and the team said people will get a refund within 24 hours.

The watch parties for Game 3 and Game 4 are Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29, respectively. Gates open at 7 p.m. Seating is general admission.
