Bond increased for Rocky River dad accused of murdering daughter
ROCKY RIVER- Bond has been raised against the man accused of killing his adult daughter last month.
63-year-old Jamal T. Mansour, was being held on a million dollars bond for shooting and killing his daughter while she slept.
It happened back on September 27. Police say Jamal Mansour shot his daughter, Tahani Mansour, twice.
Prosecutors said there is video evidence of him getting the gun from a safe at one of his stores 13 hours before the murder.
During today’s hearing, defense attorneys asked for his bond to be lowered, so he could get out of jail. Prosecutors argued he could leave the country.
Mansour was born in Jordan but is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
When asked to explain why the father would shoot his own daughter, family members blamed a medical condition; they said Mansour is a diabetic.
During today’s hearing, Judge Nancy Russo increased Mansour’s bond to $2.5 million.
