PARMA HEIGHTS- A woman has been charged after driving her car into a crowd of people in Parma Heights back in August, killing two victims.

Police have charged 74-year-old Donna Chidsey with two counts of negligent vehicular homicide.

It happened  in the parking lot between the police station and Greenbrier Commons, during a city-sponsored summer concert that had drawn about 150 people.

According to police, Chidsey  plowed across an outdoor dance floor, injuring a total of eight people.

Police said she was backing a 2009 Nissan Sentra out of a parking spot when she hit the gas pedal instead of the brake

Nancy Gielas, 68, of Hinckley,  and Kathleen McDonald, 61, of Parma were killed.

Chidsey is due in court next month.  The I TEAM checked her driving record. We found only a handful of routine traffic tickets spread out over many years for things such as speed and seatbelts.
