Garrettsville bowling alley starts new ‘queen of hearts’ drawing at $340,000+

GARRETTSVILLE, Ohio– A Portage County bowling alley is starting a new “queen of hearts” drawing after a woman won the record-breaking jackpot last month.

A year’s worth of drawings without a winner created the $3.4 million jackpot at SkyLane Bowling in Garrettsville. Finally, Terri Vechery, 69, of Mantua, won in September.

On Saturday, SkyLane announced it would start a new game of “queen of hearts.” The starting jackpot is $342,629.  The first drawing is Nov. 6.

Tickets are available at SkyLane on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and at Sugarbush Golf Course on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., beginning Oct. 22. It is mantatory for the winner to be in attendance to receive the entire jackpot. Those not present will get 50 percent.
