CLEVELAND-- The 64th Columbus Day Parade went through Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood Monday afternoon.
The parade started on Murray Hill Road at the intersection of Cornell Road. It marched down Mayfield Road, and included marching bands, classic cars and parade floats.
"I've been coming here many years to celebrate my culture," said Anthony Ross. "It's something we try to do every year to celebrate Columbus Day, being Italian and being proud of your heritage."
Sister Dianne Piunno served as parade grand marshal. She recently celebrated 50 years of being with the Sisters of Notre Dame.
"We are grateful for a god that has brought us into being and to share that with out people by our conversations, by our morals and certainly by our love for family and food," Sister Piunno said. "We are all people on a journey, as Christopher Columbus was."
