Family sends message of thanks following drive-by shooting that injured 2 little girls

CLEVELAND, Ohio--  Family members of the little girls who were injured in a drive-by shooting in Cleveland earlier this week are sending a message of thanks.

Elizabeth Davis, 9, and Savannah Davis, 3, were victims of a drive-by shooting that happened Tuesday night on Dudley Avenue near West 73rd.

Elizabeth was released from the hospital. Savannah remains in critical condition.

On Friday, the Davis family released the following statement:

"We are overwhelmed and grateful for the outpouring of support from the community- all the donations, prayers and visits are so much appreciated. Thank you to the MetroHealth medical staff for working so hard to help Savannah heal, the EMS crew who came back to visit her and the Cleveland Police Department for their continued help and support.

Savannah is in critical condition, but we know she’s a fighter. Please continue praying for her."
