CLEVELAND– A woman robbed a Cleveland bank late last month by claiming she had a bomb.
It happened at the Citizens Bank on Puritas Avenue on Sept. 30 at about 3:30 p.m. The Cleveland Division of the FBI said the woman gave the teller a note, saying a bomb would explode if her demands were not met.
Witnesses did not see a bomb or any bomb-like materials, but the suspect was holding a metallic cylinder, which she said was a detonation device.
The woman fled towards the 150th Street rapid station.
According to the FBI, it’s possible a second person was involved.
