Cavs beat Magic, 117-102, in first preseason game

CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Orlando Magic in their first preseason game of the year, 117-102.

Cleveland started LeBron James, Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, Chris Anderson and DeAndre Liggins for the matchup.

Love made a three-point jumper to put the Cavs on the board first. Cleveland picked up momentum towards the end of the first quarter.

They lead 68-42 at the half.

In just 13 minutes a piece, James and Love put up 7 and 8 points, respectively.

Rookie point guard Kay Felder and second-year shooting guard Jordan McRae shined.  McRae had 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Felder added 14.

Kyrie Irving did not dress for the game.
