The majority of voters surveyed in a Monmouth University Poll say the presidential race is bringing out the worst in people — and has even ended friendships.

According to the poll, 70 percent of voters said the race has brought out the worst in people. Four percent said it’s brought out the best. Twenty percent said it hasn’t done either.

To further break it down, seven percent of voters say they’ve lost a friendship over the election.

But seven percent also say that’s happened over races and elections before.
