Second person injured when car drove into crowd in Parma Heights has died

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio-- A second person who was injured when a car drove into a crowd in Parma Heights has died.

Nancy Gielas, 68, of Hinckley, passed away Sunday, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.

In August, a 74-year-old driver plowed across an outdoor dance floor, injuring a total of eight people.  Police said the driver was backing a 2009 Nissan Sentra out of a parking spot when she hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

Kathleen McDonald, 61, of Parma, passed away a few days after it happened.

The incident is still under investigation.
