Suspect makes off with prescription pills in drug store robbery

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland police and FBI are asking for help identifying the suspect in a robbery that took place at a CVS over the weekend.

According to a press release, it happened at around 5:05 p.m. Sept. 5 at the 3171 West Boulevard location in Cleveland.

An unknown male approached the pharmacy counter and presented a demand note. The man gestured and indicated in the note that he had a loaded firearm.

The unknown man also demanded specific pain pills.

The pharmacy complied with the man's demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of pain pills. The man then took the pills and left the CVS emergency exit on the west side of the building.

Authorities are asking for help identifying the suspect. Tips can be provided to the Cleveland Division of FBI at 216-522-1400 or the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-5100. Tips can remain anonymous.

Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible for the robbery.
