CLEVELAND– Officers were called to two smash-and-grab robberies in Cleveland overnight.
The first happened shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday at the 89 Madison Deli at Madison Avenue and West 89th Street. The store sustained heavy damage and the ATM was taken.
Witnesses told police they saw a dark-colored minivan fleeing the scene.
The second happened at East 152nd Street and Lakeshore Boulevard. Police responded to an alarm and found a white van crashed into the store. Police said the ATM was still there and the suspects didn’t get inside.
