An Ohio State Highway Patrol sergeant was struck by a vehicle in Trumbull County early Sunday morning.

According to a post on the OSHP Facebook page, the trooper was outside of his vehicle conducting a traffic stop on State Route 82 in Howland Township when he was hit.

Thankfully, his injuries are minor.

The trooper’s cruiser was also hit and suffered damage.
