AKRON-Ellet High School, in Akron, remains closed after a fire broke out inside the building this weekend.
Firefighters were called to the school Saturday night around 11. Once inside, they found smoke throughout the hallways.
Mark Williamson, with Akron Schools, said in a release Monday they are now waiting for the insurance company to access the damage, before cleanup can begin. At this time, no one is allowed inside where the damage is located, due to safety concerns.
It is unknown when school will resume for students. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
