Cleveland police investigate deaths of three in overnight shootings
CLEVELAND – Three people died in two separate shootings in Cleveland on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.
The first shooting happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday near East 116th and Putnam. When police arrived on the scene, they found that an 18-year-old male victim had already been taken to Marymount Hospital in a private vehicle. He had been shot while he was in a car. Witnesses report that they heard “multiple gunshots.”
There is no information on a suspect in this shooting yet.
The next incident happened at around 2 a.m. Sunday when police arrived on East 86th Street to find a that a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman had been shot. EMS took the victims to University Hospitals, where they were pronounced dead. Witnesses near the scene heard gunfire and screams. The male had gunshot wounds to his face, while the female was shot multiple times.
No suspect information on this homicide is available yet either.
Cleveland Police tell Fox 8 that they are continuing to investigate both shootings.
