CLEVELAND– LeBron James continues to build his brand off the basketball court.

James’ SpringHill Entertainment sold the script for a sports medicine TV show to NBC, the company confirmed on Friday. It is SpringHill’s first scripted broadcast network sale.

The Hollywood Reporter said the drama is about a doctor who treats the world’s greatest athletes.

“When the doctor undergoes a health crisis, it forces him to rethink his approach to medicine with the help of a gifted sports psychologist,” the Hollywood Reporter said of the show. A title for the project was not released.

James along with friend and business partner Maverick Carter will serve as the show’s executive producers.

SpringHill Entertainment produces “Survivor’s Remorse” on Starz.

The three-time NBA champion and 12-time NBA All-Star signed a new contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers in August. The three-year deal is reportedly worth $100 million.
