Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter dogs ready to tailgate!

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — Dogs tailgate, too!

Some of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter’s adoptable dogs will be at the Jack Racino at Thistledown for the start of their weekly tailgating party in the Growl Zone.

The event runs from noon to 3 p.m.

The shelter will also hold a volunteer orientation for those wanting to be dog walkers on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at the shelter. Applications are available online or on the day of orientation.

The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is located on Sweet Valley Drive in Valley View.

It’s open Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Adoption fees at the shelter are $95. The adoption fee include the dog license, microchipping, first set of vaccinations, spay/neuter and rabies shot.
