This is sort of a silly recipe that the kids will love for sure. All the big grown up kids who work on the show loved it too.

  • 8 oz uncooked (like small wheels)
  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion sliced into rings
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 2 Roma tomatoes seeded and chopped
  • 8-10 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tbs catsup
  • 3 strips bacon crispy and crumbled
  • 1 C cheddar shredded

Preheat oven 350F

Cook pasta, rinse and place in a buttered or greased 9×13 casserole dish.

Brown ground meat in a frying pan with a little salt and pepper. Drain off liquid. Pour beef over pasta.

Slice onion and cook in 1 tbs butter over medium low heat until onions are soft and start to caramelize a bit (10-15 minutes).

Place onions over ground beef.

Scatter crumbled bacon over onions. Repeat with chopped tomatoes. Mix catsup with tomato sauce. Pour over casserole.

Top with cheddar cheese.

Loosely cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake 5 minutes.
