Really? Cleveland ranked #6 in Travel & Leisure poll of LEAST attractive residents

NEW YORK - Cleveland has made another national list ranking cities on certain criteria. And it might be safe to say that our city is going to take big exception to this latest inclusion.

To be brutally honest, it's not the city of Cleveland that made the's actually the people that live here.

According to a readers' poll in Travel & Leisure magazine, Cleveland comes in at #6 on the list of least attractive residents in the nation.

Travel and Leisure readers scored cities across a wide range of categories, including how attractive locals are.

The online story does admit that Cleveland is one of the nation's top destinations for culture and art lovers, giving a shout out to The Cleveland Orchestra and the Museum of Art. But apparently the magazine's readers weren't as enthralled with the way Clevelanders wear all that culture.

Here's the list - again, according to the magazine poll - of the country's least attractive cities:

  1. Baltimore, Maryland
  2. Sacramento, California
  3. Spokane, Washington
  4. Charlotte, North Carolina
  5. Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  6. Cleveland, Ohio
  7. Tampa, Florida
  8. Atlanta, Georgia

For the record, these are the cities voted most attractive:

  2. Boulder, Colorado
  3. Scottsdale, Arizona
  4. Salt Lake City, Utah
  5. San Diego, California
