Charges filed in Cleveland crash that killed a woman: I-Team

CLEVELAND– The FOX 8 I-Team has learned charges have now been filed against a man for stealing a car and causing a crash in Cleveland this weekend that killed a woman.

Charges of aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property, and aggravated vehicular homicide have been filed against Brian Burns, Jr., 19.

Investigators say they believe Burns, Jr. robbed a man outside the St. Rocco’s festival on the west side and stole the man’s car.

The deadly crash happened off Lee Rd. on the city’s southeast side. Police say the stolen car hit the other vehicle and forced it into a building killing Shirley Duncan-Barnes.
