Suspected stolen car involved in fatal Cleveland crash

CLEVELAND, OH - Cleveland police are looking for the driver of a reportedly stolen car that was involved in a fatal crash late Saturday evening.

Just before 11:30 p.m., the stolen car was seen speeding on Lee Road, well above the posted 25 mile-an-hour speed limit for that area. The car ran a red light at the intersection of Cloverside Avenue, hitting a car driven by a 49-year-old woman. The force of the crash pushed her car off the road and into a building at 4070 Lee Road.

Police report that the woman sustained fatal injuries during the crash.

The suspected driver of the stolen car has not been located. Police are asking that anyone with information call them at 216-621-1234.
