Blue Angels practicing high above downtown ahead of this weekend’s Cleveland Air Show

CLEVELAND - It might be one of the coolest jobs in the world.

Navy Lieutenant Lance Benson of Kansas City said that being in the Blue Angels is one of the coolest day jobs you could ever have.

But to be a part of the team, it's hard work.

"It's a really cool experience. It's not about just the flying for us, it's the opportunity to go out and represent something larger than ourselves."

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are one of the oldest precision flying teams in the world.

To be apart of the team, you had to have been flying for 10 years with the fleet and have more than 1,200 flight hours.

"We come out there, showcase the pride and professionalism of the Navy and Marine Corps."
