Browns’ Joe Schobert adopts dog rescued from Louisiana flooding

NOVELTY, Ohio-- Cleveland Browns rookie Joe Schobert added a new member to the family this weekend.

The linebacker and his girlfriend, Megan, adopted a puppy from the Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village on Saturday.

Their four-legged friend, now named Loui, was one of several dogs brought to Northeast Ohio following the devastating flooding in Louisiana. Rescue Village Executive Director Hope Brustein said thousands of dogs have been rescued, but could not be reunited with their owners.

Schobert brought a few teammates to meet the pup and tour the rescue center.

Schobert was the first pick of the fourth round in the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin.
