Man found unconscious outside Ravenna bar remains hospitalized

RAVENNA, Ohio–  The Ravenna Police Department is investigating after an injured man was found outside a bar this weekend.

Officers and paramedics were called to the East Main Saloon at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses left the bar at closing time and discovered the 33-year-old victim laying in the road. According to police, he was unconscious and bleeding from head injuries.

Police said the man was taken to University Hospitals Medical Center, then later flown to a Cleveland hospital. He remains in critical condition.

Officers said they believe the victim was inside the saloon earlier that night.
