PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Three people remain hospitalized after a car plowed into a crowd at an outdoor concert.

Nine people in all were injured, including the driver. Two people were treated at the scene and released. Six went to the hospital. One is in intensive care at MetroHealth Medical Center.

It all happened around 7 p.m. Sunday during an outdoor summer concert. Police say a 74-year-old driver was leaving the concert when she accidentally plowed her car into a makeshift dance floor.

"When she was backing up, she hit the gas instead of the brakes and went onto the dance floor and hit the crowd," said Parma Heights Sgt. Steve Scharschmidt.

Police said the driver felt horrible that it was really an accident. Charges are pending.
