GASTON COUNTY, North Carolina– A day after a little girl in North Carolina was reported missing, authorities believe they found her remains.

According to police in Gaston County, North Carolina, remains were found Tuesday morning near the home of the missing child. Police say it appears the remains are that of Jordan Ann Dumont.

The three-year-old was reported missing from her home at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. A massive search to find her took place.

Billy Joseph McCullen, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon and charged with first-degree murder.

According to WSOC, police said they’ve been called to the home 49 times in the past three years for noise disturbances, domestic instances and thefts.
