Cleveland police: woman shot and killed early Sunday morning

CLEVELAND – Police are investigating the drive-by shooting death of a 19-year-old woman.

The shooting took place in the 4200 block of  East 116th around 3:50 a.m. The victim was  shot in the shoulder. She was taken to Marymount Hospital where she later died.

There were three other people with her at the time. They were not injured.

Police say that the bullets were fired at the victim from a dark-colored Impala. There was no description of the suspect and police continue their investigation.

Another pair of shootings was also reported in the area. Police tell Fox 8 that a man was taken to Marymount Hospital shortly before midnight. There is no word on his condition yet. A woman was also shot in the vicinity of East 116th and Lardet at around 10:30 p.m. She was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
