OAKLAND, California- Tonight looms as a pivotal game for the Cavaliers LeBron James career legacy.
He’s been to the finals seven times…he has two championships. In this, the seventh trip to the final match up he certainly doesn’t want to pin another finals loss on his resume, but his manhood on the court is being questioned by his opponents.
Even the wife of Steph Curry has gotten into the battle with her tweet that a person who takes the “high road” shouldn’t step over another person on the court.
It’s become a sideshow. A carnival. The questioning of how the officiating has been in the series has been a story. The league suspension of Draymond Green has come into question. Too little, too late they say.
All of this is extra stuff.
The pressure is resting on the shoulders of the man they call King James. With no Green to contend with, James needs to propel his team back to Cleveland for game 6. Anything less would be unacceptable. But bear in mind, the Warriors are 7-1 in close out games; 4-0 at home.
